In Episode 92 the Two Fit Crazies were dreaming of paradise with the amazing Matt Snyder who ZOOMed in to hang out with us from the Aloha state. Mr. Snyder, who just happens to be a full-time PE teacher, soccer coach, Boy Scout leader and a passionate fitness professional, reveals the state of fitness as he sees it in Hawaii. Matt discusses how Hawaiian culture is infused into PE classes to make health and fitness relevant and educational on multiple levels. While also touching on what seems to be working and what needs to change to make our youth healthier individuals, Matt offers practical solutions for any age to live a more quality life. Outside of the PE realm, Matt truly “walks the walk.” After a very successful purchase of P90X and INSANITY LIVE off of their infomercials, Matt’s personal transformation has led him to become a successful Beachbody coach and fitness trainer who is determined to change lives and inspire the world to be a more fit and healthy place! Aloha!

Whenever a Fit Crazy puts their butt on the line, we get a recap. Ironman, marathons, birthday marathons, big events, Boston Marathon heartbreak? You name it. If there is a big Fit Crazy performance, you’re getting a Recap Show. And here in Episode 69, Brian and Christine give you just that.

Coming off his HUGE Philly Marathon 2 hour 48 minute 42 second (2:48:42), PR, Brian gives us the low down on his gigantic effort in the City of Brotherly Love. What did this guy just win an Oscar? You’d think the guy actually put the crack in the Liberty Bell! Too bad! It’s a Fit Crazy performance worthy of a Fit Crazy Recap!

Hear of the preparation, motivation, genesis of his love for running and all that went into making the run happen, including the inspirational run the day prior to the race by a very special cross-country team that he’s been lucky enough to be a part of this season.

In episode #38 of Two Fit Crazies and a Microphone, the spunky and super intelligent Irene Lewis-McCormick walks us through HER rise to fame in the cutthroat fitness industry.  From teaching aerobics classes in small studios….and yes thongs and headbands were totally cool, to starring in dozens of workout videos, Irene is the real deal! She not only discusses some valuable tips to be more successful in the fitness world, but also how to effectively retain clients and foster relationships in any career.

Irene delves into her life as a professor at Drake University and shares some eye-opening experiences about the next generation of fitness professionals.  (Don’t worry! It’s not all bad!) Irene also discusses the importance of strong communication skills and being able to have the ability to “Train to Transfer!”

As the author of The HIIT Advantage and A Women’s Guide to Muscle Strength, Irene is also an expert on properly training the body, especially the woman’s body, by using HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) workouts as well as safe and effective strength programs. Her knowledge base is amazing and her 30+ years of experience makes her a true leader in the fitness world!

Irene has her hand in just about EVERYTHING in the fitness industry….and we even got a little plug for Orange Theory Fitness in there!

In Episode 27 the Two Fit Crazies are joined by Shane Barnard, creator of Urban Kick, an innovative, exciting and athletic format workout that is taking group fitness by storm!

This is a fantastic chat. Developed from scratch using her background in dance, Urban Kick grew to where Shane was able to leave her career as an attorney behind to follow her dream and spread good health and fitness to the masses. And, my goodness, aren’t we the lucky ones for this! Shane has “it”!

Using sequences named after such notables as Flavor Flav, Jackie Chan and The Terminator, Urban Kick takes a sports conditioning approach and combines punch and kick sequences with H.I.I.T. drills, for a multi-level, fun and heart-healthy workout. It borrows from different martial art techniques such as: taekwondo, karate and muay thai kickboxing to create a total body cardio kickboxing workout that incorporates steady state cardiovascular training, metabolic boosting H.I.I.T. training and functional body-weight strength training for a dynamic and efficient workout.

And as has become an ongoing theme of the Podcast, we touch upon the current state of the fitness industry. We believe that you will appreciate Shane’s perspective. The Two Fit Crazies are detecting a common trend from the leaders in the industry.
